Luke Skywalker, Libertarian?

It's hard to believe that the evil George Lucas ever had a Libertarian bone in his body, but there may seem to be some evidence of that very thing in a deleted scene from Star Wars.

American Spectator has this from Luke's best friend, Biggs:

What good's all your uncle's work if the Empire takes it over? You know they've already started to nationalize commerce in the central systems? It won't be long before your uncle is just a tenant, slaving for the greater glory of the Empire.
My sources tell me that the cut film was found in a government warehouse and is being examined by top men in the libertarian movement.

Who?

Top men.

I think Ace pretty much sums up Lucas' 180:

Of course as one moves far enough away from ever having to really earn money again the attitudes of the bourgeoisie often fade. The extraordinarily rich, like the 2007 George Lucas, has essentially forgotten the basic rules of wealth creation that the 1977 knew so well.
Meanwhile, top men at The Jawa Report continue to surf the internet looking for all things Star Wars.....especially metal bikini related.

Hey – since you’re a YouTuber, you might want to check this out… There’s a video company that’s recruiting

YouTubers and if they like your stuff, (and they should) they will actually pay you when your video gets a hit.

Here’s their link… www.flownetworkproductions.com/videorevenue.htm. It’s about time the people who make

the videos get some of the money instead of it all going to YouTube!
