1 What's this lady so upset about?  If she had ears and a brain she'd know that her precious Democrats are far more likely to use religious rhetoric in public than are Republicans.  They're allowed to because everybody knows the Dems are lying through their teeth when they do it.

2 The majority of professors are drooling imbeciles. Ultra liberal US universities wouldn't hire them if they weren't. It's a meathead thing going back to the 60's and they just can't kick the habit. Worse than crackheads.

3 The University of Chicago divinity school was traditionally one of the best.  Unfortunately, it became inbred and succumbed to group think, dropping it in the academic toilet in the late 80s.  I took some religion courses with ex-Chicago profs who had grown tired of the nonsense.

4 religious rhetoric, which does nothing but harm, fogging over the clear lines of argument on the issues and eliciting irrelevant and irrational choices in the electorate.

Clearly her constitutional analysis has absolutely nothing at all to do with her christophobia /sarcasm off.   Unfortunately for her, the 1st amendment still guarantees freedom of speech in this country.

But now you know, the Left stands for LESS freedom of speech and religion, not more.

I get this sort of crap from my Atheist friends a lot of the time. It's also cute, how they deny that Atheism is a religion because their belief is that there is NO God. There is plenty of evidence that Atheism is as faith based as any other 'religious' belief.  Check Webster's dictionary under 'religion', "3, a doctrine or custom accepted on faith."

Check around and you will see Atheist religious groups recieving tax exemption, and you will see Atheist proselytizing. Atheism expresses itself through 'doctrine' and 'custom' which relies on concepts which cannot be proven, and so are faith based. These behaviors are followed as dogmatically as any other religion. My Atheist friends always deny the 'dogma' of their belief. I'd like to point out that that IS part of Atheist dogma to have such denial.

Dogma is "a rigidly held principle, or doctrine, esp. in a religion" and 'dogmatic' is "adhering rigidly to a tenet", and a 'tenet' is "any OPINION, principle, or doctrine held to be true." So YES PEOPLE, Atheism IS a religion. it is rigid, and it has behavior that is expected from it's believers.

Clearly many Atheists aren't for freedom of expression, because they only want people to be allowed to express Atheism publically. They are like Muslims who enforce the Dhimma. 'It's ok to have your Christianity, but don't you dare express it where we superior Muslims might be offended by it.'  Just put the word 'Atheist' in place of the word 'Muslim' and you'll see where I'm going with this.

Now any religion can have followers who are intolerent. Christianity has some black marks right along with Atheism. Neither so far, is as intolerant as fundamental Islam. But followers of Atheism are like followers of Islam, in pursueing the public dominance of their own religion, over others. This means that Atheism as a political force, is anti-American, and anti-Constitutional. Like Islam, they want to enforce a public 'establishment' of religion, by silencing all other voices.

As much as some of us are willing to risk our lives to prevent Sharia coming to this country, we should give some similar thought to the imposition of Atheism in the same way. Both should be prevented, as both suppress religious freedom, rather than protecting it. As an affront to our First Amendment, neither of these 'doctrines' may be left unoppossed. 

Atheists, Muslims, Jews, or whatever, are entitled to their rights to 'free expression' ANYWHERE, as long as they are not enforcing supremecy of their religion in the process.  We can all be offended by each other, but we have no right to enforce shutting anyone up over their religion.  As our Founding Fathers agreed, we human beings are "endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights", and when they referenced a creator, it was in the most public of forums. The Declaration of Independence was the most public kind of document.

Ben Franklin, as recorded by James Madison, during the Constitional Convention, in particular the day of June 28, 1787 ...
"I have lived, sir,  a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth - that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid?"  

Yet another public endorsement ... without the ACLU to bring a self serving lawsuit and cash in on it.

We need to remind ourselves that choking off such speech, or expression of belief, is contrary to the wishes of our Founding Fathers, even the least religious among them.

Political Atheism may be seen as having only one goal, and that is domination of the public spaces. Fight back, and keep those spaces free!
