Lights Out on Preferential Treatment...

...for some Memphis Democrats dodging utility bills and getting special leniency that wasn't afforded to the great unwashed of the city's citizenry.

Paragraph in which a political party is finally identified?

16, and it is in reference to DLC Chair Harold Ford, Jr (D, Tenessee):

Only Mr. Ford, it seemed, could get an Edmund Ford deal. For months, and over a period of years, Mr. Ford, a member of the city’s foremost power-broker political family and uncle of Harold E. Ford Jr., a former congressman and the current chairman of the Democratic Leadership Council, was allowed to put off paying bills at his funeral parlor and home that eventually totaled more than $16,000.
He had a good excuse, though - Bush did it / made him do it.

Apparently, this is just the tip of the iceberg in the corruption of the Democrat-dominated Memphis city government.

I wonder how many other Democrat-dominated cities have to endure this kind of corruption. Surely, there are no 137-count indictments against Democrats my hometown!

Racist, KKK'r, Bigot, Stormtrooper. How dare you forget the socio economic reasons why wealthy blacks steal. Just racist. All I can say. Wish to kill off an American city? Just elect a black city government.

2 Corruption is green, Munudo breath.... the 4rd family has quite the history, certainly worth checking out operation Tn waltz from last year. h ford sr. has an impresive arrest record, but go ahead and make that a racist issue rooster, that's exactly what he's hoping will happen.  I got some white mud waders just like yours, use them when dealing with politicians.

3 It not a racial issue to blacks. The rest of the world knows better. At least I do.

No......there's always that race card rooster. Ya know the one, where if it ain't goin your way, you woop it out? Everyone runs from the word rather than dealing with the issue....as compared to those who play that card just as hard for other reasons, such as not having to see others as equal? But what ever color you want to call them, the 4rds are a disgrace to America. It's a shame that Corker almost lost.

6 Not to worry good Professor,  it wasn't anything that I thought would keep you away.  I was just expounding with our favorite fowel on the fine 4rd family history of west Tn. A state where if you don't have a tax stamp for the crack you're selling, "you're in real trouble now boy." I can't blame that on anyone but another run a muck dem gov. But you know how mud tends to splash when being deflected,( I wonder if there will ever be a CSI D.C.?) . I thought perhaps it might be prudent to look a bit deeper into our favorite non canidates home state. Beautiful country, too many aliens...
