Lieberman: Bomb Iran

Joe Lieberman has a solution to the problem of Iranians killing American troops:

"I think we've got to be prepared to take aggressive military action against the Iranians to stop them from killing Americans in Iraq," the Connecticut independent said during an appearance on CBS' "Face the Nation." "And to me, that would include a strike over the border into Iran, where we have good evidence that they have a base at which they are training these people coming back into Iraq to kill our soldiers."

Mr. Lieberman, who sits on the Senate Armed Services Committee, recently returned from a trip to the region and said there is evidence that "as many as 200 American soldiers" have been killed by Iranians and Iranian-trained forces. Mr. Lieberman remained firm when asked whether he was suggesting strikes against Iran.

"I am. And I want to make clear I'm not talking about a massive ground invasion of Iran, but we have good evidence," he said. "If they don't play by the rules, we've got to use our force and to me that would include taking military action to stop them from doing what they're doing."

Too bad Joe Lieberman owns the only pair of balls in the Democrat party. Oh wait, they kicked him out of the Democrat party for failure to subordinate patriotism to partisanship, didn't they?

1 Joe Lieberman is looking more and more like the type of candidate and leader America needs.

When our leaders understand that the war on terror will only be won when the arab and persian has been exterminated we will then have peace.

a future with israel holding all the lands in the middle east and the muslim arab and persians nothing but a footnote in history will see a thousand years and more of prosperity

God Bless Joe Lieberman

2 The way to Iran is through the populous. Bombing will due further harm. There are several organizations that are rising up against the leaders of Iran and should be supported by us. We bomb Iran and we hurt them. Females in Iran are getting sick of being arrested and beaten by the thugs they call police. I think (wishful thinking) a good sniper could do the job by taking out Akmacreepjob and Atollthewrongline. BTW Jake Roberts troll somewhere else.

Jake Roberts: I agree that striking Iran is the answer. Allowing them to continue to arm the terrorists, pay for the arming of Syria with modern weapons and their continued efforts to attain nuclear weapons is stupidity. Slowly many thinking are starting to realize that Iran is the key to peace in the middle east. Joe Liebermans zeal may be from the fact that he is a Jewish American. We part company on allowing Israel to rule anything but Israel. Iranians would change overnight if we destroyed they military infrastructure of Iran. At least that is what most believe. If they don't? We can always return with something that will make good boys out of them. The citizens of Iran are responsible for those they put in power. I'm not concerned if Iranians die must die to correct their own mistakes. In particular they apparently aren't brave enough to change things themselves. Arabs? What the fuck are they. Without oil they would be back riding camels and little boys.

5 Greyrooster. I am not a troll. If the populus of Iran can overcome the evil dictators with help from the US we will be left with US friendly allies kill those allies by bombing Iran and what do we end up with? More people joining the ranks of jihad! Yes we do need to confront the problem with the fact that Iran is training and arming the insurgents in Iraq that are killing our soldiers  e you are right, we can't let this go on any further as too many young soldiers lives have been lost to this cruel regime. We are all armchair quarter backs with lots of opinions. I am reluctant to say I am breaking down and am sick and tired ofall the bullshit Iran has been dealing us. After rereading my post you re right, bomb bomb bomb Iran. No more weapons into Iraq, stop the supply. BTW greyrooster be careful who you side with as Jake Roberts is an jihadist.

6 The plan works for me. Move a couple of thousand artillery pieces up to the border and wear out some barrels.

Posted by: scaulen at June 11, 2007 03:23 PM (OZn2O)

7 Crush their infastructure, multilate their military, and destroy their ability to communicate, then walk away.

Let's show those scumbags what terror is all about.

8 Dick has the right answer as far as I'm concerned. The main thing is walk away. We owe them nothing. They are muslims. We must remember that. Their religion is the problem. I see know of no reason have anything to do with muslims. They are a cancer on the world. OUTLAW ISLAM. That is the answer to world peace.

9 Yes, indeed and please feel free to start with the 20 terrorist training camps (names and locations included) below.
I have probably said this dozens of times and I'll keep saying it; if the allies just knock out the main props of the regime, the Iranian people themselves would bring the regime down and cut up AhmadiNezhad to so many pieces there won't be enough of that worthless mass-murdering subhuman piece of shit to put in a body bag.

10 Allahakchew: Damn it. You think we don't know who Jake Roberts is? Can't you see he was trying to put the Persians and Arabs in the same boat. Notice what I said about the Arabs? Showing that Iranians count an Arabs don't. It was a ploy to get the asshole to talk more. Quit ruining our fun with knee jerk re-actions.

11 None of your Business: Yep! A brilliant plan. Thank you. Of course you have a better plan. But I'll settle for mine since yours in a well kept secret.

Why not jsut let the CIA or whoever back certain less-nasty-than-the-current-regime groups with the aim of facilitaing a better regime like they've done in the past? And then, if that fails they could spank the military, and see what crawls out of the scorched earth etc.

13 Large scale military operations should be our last option with Iran. Persians that i have known all hate the ayatollah and say its a pretty common sentiment in Iran. We need to go back to the good old days of the cold war and use our brains not our brawns. If the Iranians insist on training operatives against us then we should do the same except on a much grander scale. You give it enough time, money, and operatives and we could easily facilitate a regime change without ever putting a single U.S. troop or aircraft in Iran.

14 What? The same has been said for thirty years and it just gets worse every year. No troops needed. Destroy their infracture to keep them out of trouble. If Iranians wish to get rid of the mad moolas then why don't they Who are the thousands demostrating in the streets against America? Who composes the military? Who is working on nuclear weapons? Who serves the moolas? Who smuggles weapons to terrorists? Who captured the Brits. THE IRANIAN PEOPLE THATS WHO. They made their bed. They are responsible for their government and their government is responsible for its citizens. All this excuse making is bullshit. They are muslims. Muslims are the enemy. They cheered at 9/11. I will cheer when payback comes to them. Making excuses for the enemy is stupid. Islam is the enemy and Iran is Islamic. Screw them.

15 And Fred Thompson says he will bomb them.  And Fred Thompson is God's messenger on earth. God told me so.

16 Joe Lieberman is a good man and this country needs many more like him.

17 Joe Lieberman is a good Jewish American. A nice guy. But I never wanted him for president. We need a plain old mongelized redneck American. Right now I am against a Jewish president. Why? I will always wonder which comes first. His race/religion or America. A choice may have to be made. Besides, I don't trust anyone who doesn't eat pork chops and barbequed pork ribs.

Posted by: greyrooster at June 12, 2007 02:07 AM (1ZyKh)

18 Has a war ever been won by talking to the enemy? How many battles do you win by being sensitive to the enemies feelings? The war with Islam has started. All we can do now is fight it or surrender. And so many commenters here give me the feeling they would throw the towel in due to their fear?

Posted by: greyrooster at June 12, 2007 02:12 AM (1ZyKh)

The 20 terrorist camps listed above wouldn't be terrorist camp if they were spending their time ducking American bombers. Sitting back and letting them grow in comfort is stupid. Actually, its a pretty good job. This being a terrorist. You get paid for playing cowboys and Indians. Don't have to work for a living. Smoke a little hash. Religious leaders claim you are doing God's work. Free room and board. Lots of money. The latest in weaponry. Hateful dirty old men applaud you. Free transportation. Sometimes to foreign lands. Never had that chance before.  Hell! it's a profession. Some of these guys have never done anything else. Go to bomb making class. Terrorists camps give you those cool black outfits to play soldier on the jungle gym. Get to shoot AK-47 during play. And RPGs. Man a RPG in your lap makes you feel important. Sit around a camp fire and bullshit with your buddies. A pat on the back if you kill someone. Two pats if you torture them first. And guess what. If you screw up and get your dumb ass killed you get 72 virgins and your picture over some ugly old hags fireplace. I mean, what else do they have to do. State run television (when the electricity works) No Baseball, basketball, football, hockey. A little soccer. No Disney world. No sexy American movies. Being a terrorist sounds pretty good when you're a jealous little shit and those you are jealous of make tarkets of themselves in an effort to help those that hate them. Yea man! It going to take something besides words for these guys to give up this life style.

20 greyrooster:
I can think of a couple of wars that were won by talking. Not by us though, by our enemies that we backed off on (Korea, Vietnam, WOT). We will never learn, when you have the boot on their necks apply more pressure, don't give them a hand up to talk about surrendering.

21 Steve,
There's a great deal that can be done without spending an additional penny. For example, take the Voice of America Persian service which is currently infiltrated and effectively run by mo-slimes; fire the entire staff and give full control of it to USCENTCOMM.

If the allies don't kill 500,000 armed thugs of the regime using conventional weapons soon; the west may find itself having to kill tens of millions of unarmed innocent Iranians who are staunchest enemies of the Mullahcracy and Arabism with nuclear weapons.

Now, I ask you, which of these two options do you find less morally objectionable.

Posted by: Garduneh Mehr at June 12, 2007 09:48 AM (j97MF)

22 An unarmed "populous" can't overthrow a well-armed tyranny.  They can hate the mullahs all they want, it won't make a difference.  So we're not going to wait around for the impotent Iranian "populous" to solve our geopolitical problems for us.  Ain't gonna happen.  The bombing begins in 3, 2, 1, .....

Posted by: Jesusland Carlos at June 12, 2007 11:57 AM (8e/V4)

23 Now if we can just convince the powers that be. Nope. They won't listen. To our government. We are right wing fanatics.
