Sheikh Bakri Begs UK for Rescue

Sheikh Omar Bakri has long preached that the Jewish nation is "a cancer in the heart of the Muslim world. It must be eradicated and removed." By all accounts, the Jews are getting ready to pour into Lebanon. Sheikh Bakri is right there. He now has a golden opportunity to "eradicate" and "remove" the Jews. So, of course, he's taken up a Kalashnikov and headed out to meet the "cancerous" Jews, right? Well, not exactly:

LONDON, England (Reuters) -- A hard-line Muslim cleric barred from Britain for glorifying violence said on Friday he tried to get on board a British warship to flee Beirut but was turned back. . .

"I know myself I am not welcome in the UK ... but I have the right like everyone else to safety," he said. "It is better to try and fail." . . .

In an interview with Reuters in Beirut last August, the bearded cleric said he had no intention of returning to Britain because of the way Muslims there were being treated.

So, everyone has a right to safety, now, do they? What about those children your buddies have been shelling in Israel? Do they have a right to safety, now, too? What about Gilad Shalit, Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev? Do they have a right to safety?

You hypocritical chickensh!+ b!+ch. All that bloodshed you've been advocating all these years? It's all coming to fruition right before your eyes, live in surround sound. Enjoy the show. I pray you die slowly.

1 While it is surprising the coward would be in fear for his life from Israel, somehow I feel there may be more to this than Israel. Could it be possible there are other folks interested in doing harm to the sheik?

2 Tried new comment thingy, comment didn't post.Trying old comment thingy.

He is a coward. Talks the talk, but can't handle the walk. His desire to leave Lebanon makes me wonder if perhaps he has more to fear in Lebanon than the Israeli's.

3 Now the comments show up. I give up.

4 Cmunk:  Most assuredly!

Otherwise, the post itself has said it all for me.  Reap what you sow, Bakri!

5 I hope the good Sheikh gets just what he deserves in Lebanon. And we all know what he deserves.

8 Ever notice how Islamic mullah's NEVER put THEIR ass on the line? It's ALWAYS their FOLLOWERS who are encouraged to die for Islam...If martyrdom is held in such high value by Allah, why aren't we seeing at least a few Mullah's setting an 'example'?

9 He wants others to die as martyrs, but not him. How conveeeenient.

Bakri is CLAIMING he's afraid of Syria.  (Understandable, since he tried to engineer a coup over there a few years' back.)

The problem with his story is that there's no immediate expectation of Syrian troops coming into Lebanon.  The only soldiers coming right now are the Israelis.

Even if one were to believe a Syrian invasion is imminent, Bakri's spin still falls apart.  Syria is still a MAJOR player in Lebanon.  Syria has its agents ALL OVER Lebanon.  If Syria wanted Bakri dead, Lebanon wouldn't be a very safe place to hide.

11 The Brits could have had some fun with him though. They should have let him on and then when the ship is under way but still in the harbour, shove him overboard.

12 Well, the British do like their irony. This takes the cake.

13 You know that Bakri says the Shia are all apostates, right?  And you know the penalty for apostasy.  I don't think Hizballah really digs that.

14 as soon as he puts up his hand and claims political asylum the brits will take him with open arms. Stuff his wallet with food stamps and benefit money and give him a house under some kind of protection program. When really he needs to spend some time in Islams favorite prison....

15 Eh. It was a publicity stunt - he knew he had no chance whatsoever.

So, he makes his little effort to get back into the media, back in to the public eye, and here we are discussing him. D'oh.

Far better just to ignore the loathesome little insect. Or squash it, I suppose, but that's frowned upon.

18 This prick never paid a penny in tax here Britain... we let him move here, receive generous benefit for himself and his 6 kids yet he still praises the 7/7 bombers who blew up 50 innocent people on the tube here in London.... F**k him.

Hopefully he will be taken out, and if he does die then the world will that little bit closer to peace!

19 His whole family are still in the UK living of the British taxpayer's that this arsehole wants to murder.  I sometimes think that someone in the government is on  commission from the people smugglers who have been importing several 100,000 people like him over the last few years.  The army should dealing with the fifth column within the UK instead of trying to civilise places like Afghanistan, which will never be a civil society.   Why do we put up with this?
