The USMC/Iraqi team was sluggin' it out side by side. Something to see. US Marines and Jundi still gasping for air, fighting side by side. Some jundi still in their sleeping sweats or shower sandals refusing to be evacuated, fighting back with their AKs and PKCs into enemy positions. Yes, some of these jundi got what it takes. The second one is a hat tip to Bill, but the real news is over at Acute Politics:
I'll go out on a little bit of a limb and say that the insurgency is quickly approaching a tipping point. If things continue as they are right now, our military won't need a surge to chase the terrorists out of Anbar- the citizens will do it for us, which is as it should be. It's beginning to show already: more local tips, more police recruits (far more than anticipated), and sadly- in bigger and more desperate Al-Qaeda attacks. For those of you following the split of The 1920s Revolutionary Brigade from the Salafis, here is some important background.

Two suicide bombers killed 76 people in a market in the Shaab district in northern Baghdad.
ABout the same time three suicide car bombs exploded within minutes of each other in Khalis, 50 miles north of Baghdad, killling 53 people and wounding 103.
On Tuesday two truck bombs killed 85 people in a SHi'ite area Tal Afar in northern Iraq. Hours later Chi'ite gunmen including the Iraqi police shot dead up to 70 Sunni Arabs. A year ago Bush said Tal Afar was a "model" of success" in Iraq.
What a relief to know that things are getting better over there. Just think, if we weren't winning people would be getting killed.

I see you found it diffcult to argue the facts as reported since the surge has not only not quelled the ciolence in Baghdad but also has simply spread the violence around.
Do you dimwits actually think the violence is going to stop because the big bad bogeyman called America is increasing the amount of bodies to shoot at?
Wow, what kind of hootch are you drinking down there in the bayou? You people crack me up.
Violence will be remain in Iraq while we are there and after we leave. Bush unleashed centuries of pent up frustration and you think that things are getting better. ha ha ha ha ha.....

Did you EVER read what Osama and his followers feel about the US occupying Muslim lands? Did you bother to educate yourself as to what the reasons were for 9/11 and its connection to Saudi Arabia and the jihadists who are training in many other countries especially the one where Bush holds hands with its prince? Abdullah his name.
Man, stick to your hootch and your babble. The world is much too big for your understanding. Ignorance is bliss.
