Troops Find Chemical Bomb Factory

Following up on Rusty's post here. We have found an apparent car bomb factory loaded with chemicals.

AP Via Yahoo News: BAGHDAD, Iraq - U.S. troops raided a car bomb factory west of Baghdad with five buildings full of propane tanks and ordinary chemicals the military believes were to be used in bombs, a spokesman said Thursday, a day after insurgents blew up a truck carrying chlorine gas canisters.

Maj. Gen. William Caldwell said the chlorine attack Wednesday — the second such "dirty" chemical attack in two days — signaled a change in insurgent tactics, and the military was fighting back with targeted raids....

...tips led U.S. troops to a five separate buildings near Fallujah, where they found chemical munition, three vehicle bombs being assembled, including a truck bomb, about 65 propane tanks and "all kinds of ordinary chemicals," Caldwell said. He added that he believed the insurgents were going to try to mix the chemicals with explosives.

Good news. It is unknown if these are the same terrorists responsible for the recent chlorine attacks. But it seems likely.

1 "Ordinary Chemicals"??!? WTF does that mean? Just say it! ITS A CHEMICAL WEAPON. If a substance that causes death by its chemical nature is used as a weapon, then its a CHEMICAL WEAPON. If a subtance kills you because it is kinetic properties, like a speeding bullet, its a ballistic weapon. If a substance kills you because of its exothermic properties, like napalm or white phosphorus, its an incendiary weapon. If a substance kills you because it is POISON, ITS A CHEMICAL WEAPON.

TERRORISTS ARE USING CHEMICAL WEAPONS AGAINST CIVILIANS IN IRAQ!

3 Fallujah Chemical plant:
http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/asiapcf/south/02/05/sprj.irq.chemicals/index.html
According to Katturajan's statement, the Fallujah plant was producing 22 tons of chlorine per day, bottling it in "tonners."
wonder if this is where it was stolen from?

4 Are you listening Murtha?  The troops are getting the job done...unlike you, the empty suit that you are.

5 Two "good news" angles: 1) it appears that local residents reported these nice, heroic resistance fighters and their activities to the authorities;  2) this probably indicates that they haven't been able to get their hands on anything more sophisticated, and lethal. Yet.

6 I hope they tagged some (or all!) of the bastards who were concocting the bombs.

Yeah, chemical weapons are easy if you want small ones. It's getting a large kill ratio that requires effort. Incindiaries are easy as well. Easier in many ways. We are lucky terrorists have done so little of this so far. Bohica is right on the money though, and the MSM is going to miss the boat (again, on purpose)!  I'd hope these terrorist scum could get a breath of thier own medicine.

       USA, all the way!

Weapons of mass distraction? You're referring to the Dhimmiecrats, of course.

9 Jeff, I think all the D.C. crowd should be packed up and shipped over to Iraq. If they voted for it, they should have to serve. As far as a bomb factory, I'd say we're lucky it was only that. I'd be surprised if NYC isn't nuked within my lifetime.

Posted by: osamabinthere at February 23, 2007 03:51 AM (ZxuJ4)

10 OsamabinAhistorical    I have to argue with you here. It isn't the job of the "D.C. crowd" to shoot the guns. Anymore than it is the job of the guy assembling HumVee engines to do so. There are many ways to aid in the pursuit of victory. The Democrats are causing an implosion of such aid and support.  I surprised I have to explain this to you.  As for NYC getting nuked. Your probably right. Necessity may force wars we never dreamed of. Remember though, it was passivity that got our towers hit in the first place. Osama bin Laden said so himself, and I see no reason to encourage his way of thinking.                            USA, all the way!

11 Ok Michael...I'll ease off wanting to see our elected D.C. idiots go to battle. I'll never forget a theme I heard on the street in NYC when 9/11 happened: "It was like a movie". This only underscores that what people are capable of doing is really only limited to the imagination and motivation. What freaks me out is that I don't think we are any safer today than we were back then. If anything, I think it's worse. I'm no fan of apathy, but I'm also not a fan of massive tactical errors.

12 Btw, Jeff...is this you? Google is a funny thing.

13 If that is his info, it is kinda rude to post it here where millions of people will see it like that. Don't you think?    USA, all the way!

Posted by: Michael Weaver at February 23, 2007 04:38 PM (2OHpj)

14 Michael, I'm actually pretty sure it's not him. It's a joke. He gave out his address in here just the other day and they don't match. Even if it was him, I think he's a little beyond my sympathy concerning being "rude". It would also support evidence of his macho/insecure Napoleon complex. He pretty much attacks anyone with a different view. It's not a crime if I don't put up with his crap. Even so, if any JAWA site editors think I stepped over the line then please delete the posting.

Posted by: osamabinhiding at February 23, 2007 05:12 PM (JVqe0)

15 While we're on the subject of rude, or even hypocritical. What do you think of this?

"You know where I live. Any day or night, pussy-bite. If you make me angry, i'll find out where you live and pay you a visit. Go ahead and see if I don't."

"I think I may come after you. Therre's nothing you can do about it."

"Say the word, and I'll gladly kill you. Please give me permission."

You don't have to dig far into Jeff or Rooster's posts to find plenty of stupid posturing or hot air. What I'm wondering is...why would you defend them? You guys might agree on some things, but it doesn't make them any less of an asshole.

16 Osamabinsucking:

No, that's not me.

Warrant sites aren't updated, which is why they provide a disservice to the public that pays for them. I have no outstanding tickets and I weigh 185 lbs.

I am 5 9' though.

Keep it up asshole. I can find you, and we both know that you're a pussy.

17 Jeffbinsuckingpigdick:

I knew it wasn't you, you idiot. I was joking as stated above. It's not my fault you have a Napoleon complex. Wear some lifts or something already. You couldn't find your own dick, so keep up your empty threats.

Napoleon complex? I'm of average height and far above average musculature.

How much do you weigh, you scrawny little wimpersnapper? I'm not just your intellectual and scholastic superior, I'm your physical superior as well.

Hey! I found my dick! It was in your mouth!

Bitch.

"How much do you weigh, you scrawny little wimpersnapper? I'm not just your intellectual and scholastic superior, I'm your physical superior as well."

Ah....sooth your pathetic ego as much as you like. Oh yeah, you forgot to brag about giving men 30 orgasms in one session. I think that was from one of your earlier posts.

"Hey! I found my dick! It was in your mouth!"

Wishful thinking on your part. Do you ever take a hint, Jeff? We know you're gay and I'm not going to be your butt buddy.

"Bitch"

Keep singing those posts!

Like I wrote. You're a scrawny little wimp with no scholastic achievements to your name.

21 "Like I wrote. You're a scrawny little wimp with no scholastic achievements to your name."

Hahaha...and you're SOOO scholastic. OoooOOOOh! I'm impressed.

"You're nothing, and everybody who endures your vapid comments knows it."

If I'm nothing, why are you so homo-obsessed with me?

"Enjoy your obscurity, weenie-arms."

Yeah, weenie arms that do 54 pull-ups in a row. I must be a weakling. Puny! I must bow down to your Napoleon complex ASAP!

22 I don't have an objection to rusty outing a terrorist sympathizer, but if someone is commenting here, I do think it is at the least a borderline issue to post comments that expose them to things like what happened to those room-mates the other day. Someone went to their house to pick a fight. remember?  That's the short explanation. Catch ya later ...  USA, all the way!

Posted by: Michael Weaver at February 25, 2007 03:52 AM (2OHpj)

23 Hey Michael...I'm hearing conflicting reports. The wing-nuts are saying that guy went to the house, was a dem/hippie/nutcase & picked a fight. The leftards are saying the guy was lured in & the hosts shoved him first and he defended himself. Does anyone have their facts straight? I haven't been following the story, btw.

Posted by: osamabinhiding at February 25, 2007 03:25 PM (JVqe0)

24 Somebody had somebody elses adress and went there, and got into a fight.   That is good enough for the example I was making.                      USA, all the way!
