No word yet on if Mahmoud stayed to cheer for the empowered women of Iraq's beach volleyball team. I wonder how many years of his term that would cost him.

Iran has announced it will be joining a Muslim Women's Beach Volleyball League. All countries' representative teams will be clad in burqas while on the courts, with elastic anklets to avoid exposure of female flesh to male spectators. The League will draw representatives from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Kazakhstan & Uzbekistan in 2007, but will most likely be joined by other sand monkeys in later years.
