Hillary Picks Boring, Foreign Theme Song

Professor Chaos is pretty enraged that Hillary Clinton picked Canadian Celine Dion's "You and I" as her official campaign theme song. Whatever happened to buy American Mrs. Clinton? If this is how her invincible juggernaut of a campaign runs things, then I'd like to be the first to welcome our new Republican overlords in 2008.

Anyway, if you're going to pick a foreign song to headline your campaign with, why pick a boring one? Like Hillary hasn't already picked up the 35-45 recently divorced but still hopeful that I'll find a meaningful relationship single mother vote. I'd suggest something like Rammstein's Amerika, a song that both kicks ass and which has lyrics sure to please today's Democratic primary voter. [video below]

Exit question: What song would best suit Fred Dalton Thompson's campaign? With a newly confident Russia saber-rattling in our general direction, I'm thinking it's finally time to resurrect that treatment for that VH-1 special on Survivor I have in my files somewhere. 1 If she wanted a campaign theme song from a foreign writer, how 'bout "The Bitch is Back" by Elton John.

2 Thompson should pick Slayer's 'War Ensemble' for his theme song. Good, wholesome ass-kicking stuff.

3 Survivor = teh ghey

Thompson needs something with "gravitas," like Johnny Cash's "The Wanderer."

4 heh,

How about running Marilyn Manson's "Love Song" by Fred? The chorus is cool:

the father: "do you love your guns?" (yeah)
"god?" (yeah) "your government?"
"do you love your guns?" (yeah)
"god?" (yeah) "your government?" (fuck yeah)

Manson's got a lot of stuff that would scare the batshit outta the left. One of the funniest things I ever saw was his appearance on letterman before the '04 election. Letterman basically asked him who he was supporting, and Manson said "George Bush". Letterman was actually speechless. Heh.

Alternately, Ted Nugent's "Cat Scratch Fever" might work.

   Respects,

6 For Fred I can't see any rock theme song.

No, Country is the way to go. Hank Williams, Jr. The updating of his classic "A Country Boy Can Survive" entitled "America Will Survive".

Alternatively Toby Keith's "Courtesy Of The Red, White & Blue"
