Germany to Keep Peace In Lebanon.

The French have agreed to help keep the peace in Lebanon after fighting ceases.

Ynet: The French and Lebanese armies will take part in the multinational peacekeeping force expected to take position along the southern Lebanese border, it was revealed following a meeting between US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in Jerusalem.
Of course the French will then hand Lebanon over to the first German that crosses the border.

Hat Tip : Red Foreman.

Update : Already? I am so psychic it scares me. In other words I think this force will work just about as well as the last set of impotent “peacekeepers” did, dumbass!

1 It's a trick!
I hope Israel and U.S. don't fall for it.
This cancer of Hizbullah must be completely cauterized; otherwise it will just come back stronger.

4 Are there Nazi's in power in Germany? Obviously Germany and Israel have matured and moved beyond that. There is a lesson in this for those demanding reparations from the US because of slavery.

5 I know, where did that come from. A better analogy would have been to point this forgiveness out to the Jew haters. But let's face it. They will hate Jews as long as their race still occupies space and has weight.

It is sad when you think about it.

On another note, how long will it take al-Sadr and his militia to overthrow the gov in Baghdad and link up with Iran, after the US leaves Iraq. The seeds are there and everything is in place. The Mahdi are no different than Hezbollah in the way they permiate all levels of the Shiite society in Iraq. What is interesting is how they will interact with the Baathists and Sunni Syrians.

6 The French have pre-ordered specialized equipment to prepare for their military engagement, 1000 batons with attachable white flags.

7 I am getting tired of this. It won’t do any good to place a new UN peacekeeping force, just old wine in new bags. Israel bombing Beirut while they don’t have any plans to send ground troops that far. Baghdad is exploding, thousands on the street against the US. Blare doesn’t have any answers, the only thing he can come up with is: “They want to destroy Israel” Democracy in Iraq is wishful thinking. Now they want to improve live in Cuba after Fidel is gone, with a, you’ll guessed it “a democracy”! After year of boycotting! Oh my God! What a mess!

8 What did you expect, the Spanish inquisition?

Posted by: Cmunk at August 04, 2006 01:34 PM (7teJ9)

9 NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION

Okay, who didn't see that one coming?

Anyway, huzzah for surrendering to the enemy. I guess jews will have to find another country in a few years; those that didn't die, at least.

10 The French are highly capable now. They are very well trained and have some of the newest technology in their arsenal. Trust me, YOU DO NOT WANT TO MESS WITH THE FRENCH!

11 A French officer and a British officer are having a conversation sometime in the late 1700's:

French officer: Dites moi, monsieur, why is it the British wear red coats? It seems it would make one more of a target on the battlefield, no?

British officer: Well, you see old chap, it's to dishearten the enemy; even if we are shot, and soaked in blood, the enemy has no way of knowing, and so his morale plummets.

French officer: Ahhhh, I see! Merci, monsieur!

French officer (to his orderly): Garçon! Fetch my brown pants immediately!

12 Some dude, please don't ever say that again. I don't think my heart could take. I haven't laughed that hard in years. Whoo, boy, that was a good one! And the cow jumped over the moon, haha!

15 I have wondered why the French Foreign Legion wore brown pants. Now I know.

Some Dude - Equipment is not important. There is an old Scotch saying "Its nay the size of the dawg in the fight
Tis the size of the fight in the dawg"

Guts or heeart are what matters.
Gutless Frenchmen with world class armor will still turn and run when facing a determined enemy.

To quote another Scotchman "Cheese eating surrender monkeys!"

16 Has any one ever heard of a place called Verdun?

Posted by: Some Dude at August 07, 2006 09:01 AM (llVQM)

17 And another thing. They lost in Vietnam. We did too. The French are tough bastards. Last time in Lebanon, didn't we run? The French stayed until they decided to leave with the rest of the world. The FFL is crazy man. I was watching this documentary about them and $hit man. It was f**king crazy! Especially in the jungles. There were like diseases that no one has ever heard of there and they had to go through survival training. And has anyone seen the new Rafale? Like shit man, when the French went against the USN in an exercise, the Rafales ripped apart the USN F-18s.
