Great video. I've always thought Penn Gillette was a very reasonable guy, even though I disagreee with some of his leftward opinions. He was especially reasonable when contrasted with the vacuous children and cynical hucksters who support global warming hysteria.
Gillette may dismiss dihydrogen monoxide as nothing to worry about, but it should be noted that's it's in all of our rivers, lakes, oceans, and even our bodies. Who wants the chemical elements that form oxidane in our reservoirs? Who wants to take a shower in Hydric acid? Should fresh produce be rinsed with hydrogen hydroxide? Is hydrogen oxide good for marine life? What levels represent a legitimate health hazard?
These are questions that the global warming retards need to answer honestly, instead of resorting to the standard emotional rhetoric about doomsday.
Gillette neglected to mention that large amounts of dihydrogen monoxide in the atmosphere can definitely cause heat to become trapped and affect weather patterns worldwide, unlike the bogeyman of carbon monoxide.
Again, this climatological condition needs to be approached responsibly, without the shrill cries that the sky is falling from the anti-science left. Should dihydrogen monoxide emmisions be controlled more stringently? Probably. Should it be banned outright? No, of course not. Sure, it helps cause climate changes, but shouldn't we take an evenhanded approach to how we deal with it?
I'd be interested to read what moonbats like Creep, Snivel Behaviour and Johke have to offer on the subject. Is global warming really such a bad thing? Bad enough to spend trillions of dollars annually trying to reduce dihydrogen monoxide levels in the atmosphere?
