Frantic MoveOn Petition Brands NPR, PBS as Partisan

If a reactionary propaganda group thinks an organization is a paragon of "independent journalism," that's a pretty clear indication that it isn't even close. National Public Radio and the Public Broadcast System have picked up the enthusiastic and frantic support of MoveOn.org, America's largest collection of Leftist nutbags.

From a MoveOn.org member email (never mind how I got this; Bluto mucks through the latrines of the fever swamps so you don't have to):

Dear MoveOn member,

Since Thursday afternoon, 370,018 of us have called on Congress to stop President Bush's budget cuts and save NPR and PBS. 370,000 of us in just 36 hours!

Can you help make it half a million signatures? Here's what the petition says: "Congress must save NPR and PBS once and for all. Congress should guarantee permanent funding and independence from partisan meddling." Just click here to add your name:

[I've replaced the actual link with something more appropriate - Bluto]

Every additional signer will mean more pressure on Congress to block this cut and make sure this kind of partisan meddling never happens again. President Bush cannot be allowed to slash strong journalism and shows like "Sesame Street."

We've won this fight before. Together, we can make sure we never have to confront this issue again.

Thanks,

By "strong journalism" the nimrods at Moveon mean "grossly biased in favor of the progressive movement in general and the Democratic party in particular." Also notice that the first thing PBS threatens to cut is "Sesame Street." Typical of liberals who are all for the children unless they see a way to use the children as a weapon.

4 Cutting Sesame Street would be like shooting your only cash cow in the brain.  I realize that it's just a threat and it is the threat that the lefties hope to use to get what they want, but there is no way in hell that Sesame Street will get cancelled.  I've got at least $1000 worth of SS toys, games, and stuffed animals laying around here.  Besides, moveon weirdos don't want to be responsible for putting all those kids out of work in Tawain who are making Piss-On-Me Elmos for next Christmas.

5 Important tip for those of us in the Resistance: Lefturd media types
are gutless cowards and will passionately declaim anything on a
teleprompter with only a little encouragement; the only trick is to
know what motivates them. Of course, a large percentage of Americans
are gutless cowards too, and can be controlled as easily as sheep, so
once the government falls, as it inevitable will from its own
incompetent mismanagement, it's only a matter of making them obey.

As an aside for Hitlery and her FBI/ATF Gestapo: MOLON LABE, and fuck you very much, because I don't mind fighting in the shade.

(For those of you who didn't get that last part, there are many good
webcomics online these days, which I encourage you to peruse so that
the adults may talk.)

Come on sheeple, and show me what you're made of.

6 NPR's news coverage is OK. It's tilted left and the newcasters have trouble keeping their (liberal biased) emotions out of the newscast.  They did a couple good stories last week that I linked here.  It gets confusing though when stories like that come on and then the next one is about how we should abandon the people they just reported on.  But PBS news shows are blatantly biased.  The NEWS hour is OK but Now is terriblly biased.  That being said I don't think either are in danger.  They provide a service that is valued.  I watched "Undergdogs" over the weekend.  It's good, if you don't cry I'll give you 50 cents.

7 NPR news is ok, but then start listening to the Diane Ream show and the like and you'll understand why these people must be taken off the dole.
