A PARIS court sentenced 25 Muslim militants yesterday for planning attacks against the Eiffel Tower and other targets with explosives in support of rebels fighting Russian forces in Chechnya.Team America could not be reached for comment.

when the likes of the "Army of God" are the exception rather than the rule for christianity, any logical thinking person would start to look for reasons other than christianity for their barbarity. You stated one possible reason, i.e., culture. There could be others.
But when the barbarity appears to be the norm for a religion-- rather than the exception-- there comes a moment when you can no longer pretend it's some other reason other than the religion itself.
