Fox Tries Comedy Show for the Other Half of America

"The 1/2 Hour News Hour" is aimed at the same audience that made Fox News successful: non-liberals and those sick of Mcbushitlerburton jokes from the dinosaurs at hasn't-been-funny-since-the-seventies Saturday Night Live.

Will it work? It sure pisses off the Left - just read the snotty comments at the YouTube posting and this snotty review from one of the oh-so-cool mincing metrosexual milquetoasts at Salon.com.

"The 1/2 Hour News Hour" will air Sundays at 10:00.

2 This test episode was not very original. Even the name has been used before. Setup was also very simmilar to SNL Weekend Update. JC was right... it will be great, but only if it is funny.

3 I was hoping that would be funny, but I thought it was lame. I mean really, the potential is there...but it just isn't that funny. The canned laughter is crap too. At least they could get an audience. They should get rid of those tools and get Dennis Miller there to rock it.

5 I thought it was kinda funny. But lose the laugh track and get a real audience. If they don't laugh, do what Letterman does, make a joke about it, or toss a pen, or paramp pomp with the drum. Anything but that laugh track. And yes, get Dennis Miller in there asap.
