Among the materials was a DVD with 27 QuickTime video files, totaling about 10 minutes, showing Cho talking directly to the camera. He does not name anyone specifically, but he mentions “hedonism†and Christianity, and he talks at length about his hatred of the wealthy.I have a few choice quotes here.
I didn’t have to do this. I could have left. I could have fled. But no, I will no longer run. It’s not for me. For my children, for my brothers and sisters that you f---, I did it for them,â€MSNBC quotes the FBI as saying the tapes are, “pornographic.â€Thanks to you, I die like Jesus Christ
Do you know what it feels like to have throat slashed from ear to ear? Do you know what it feels like to be torched alive?
Your Mercedes wasn’t enough, you brats. Your golden necklaces weren’t enough, you snobs. Your trust fund wasn’t enough. Your vodka and Cognac weren’t enough. All your debaucheries weren’t enough. Those weren’t enough to fulfill your hedonistic needs.
Hat Tip : Captain’s Quarters.

Sounds like class envy to me. And we all know who encourages class envy. The same people encourage a sense of victimhood and who rail against christianity.

It it only says that he mentioned it. I'm guessing it might have something to do with his background. About one third of South Koreans (and climbing) are Christians, including a good deal that immigrate to the US. The "Thanks to you, I die like Jesus Christ" sounds like he's mimicking the faith he was raised in in some type of lunatic ad hoc justification. Obviously, just looking at that brief passage, there isn't any sanity or real coherence to what he's saying, so it seems useless to try and pull anything from it. The one thing we can know for certain is that he was a whiny narcissistic nutjob with a grudge against the world, mixed with delusions of grandeur that finally manifested as some type of messiah complex.

Would anyone know by chance if this guy's parents are Christians are practice any faith (including before he was born). What would be the chances (considering the red ink reference on his arm isn't an English writers reference), of maybe this young man trying to enter a faith, seeing some hypocrisy, then wanting to check out... besides the girl. Have to call in a profiler on the sexual stuff... outta my league.

His actions can't be described as right of left, except by the political junkies here. He was a seriously deranged individual filled with a self-loathing that festered into a sense of victimization, decided to take it out on the world, went out, showed his two forms of ID, bought a couple guns and used 'em. Same as Klebold and Harris.
I swear, sometimes you guys and your non-stop prisms of politics are laughable.

LOL. You gotta love the blogs if for nothing else than the creative asshaterry like B's. Especially given he's the guy that attributes just about everything bad in the world to rightwing christians.

I do? Hm, that's news to me. I don't attribute everything bad to any one group ... I leave that to the Jawites and their bretheren.
My comparison alluded to my college job of bartending at a supper club. The regulars were like something out of a Cliff Cleven Soundalike Contest ... with the exception of the Islamic obsession, same goes here.
If you had two brain molecules to rub together, you'd worry less about Islamic fundamentalism--which frankly has about as much effect on the average American as the recent incident in Virginia does -- and more about the ascending economic might of China and India. Now THAT'S going to mess with your lifestyle, especially when they've got your job.

That's right! Let's go to war with China and India!!! LOL.
I'll take my two brain molecules over a hundred trillion of yours, thank you very much.

And of course war is always the only option .. yikes already.
