1 Maybe he was just trying to be polite, but Dershowitz makes it sound like Carter is a wise statesman who has stumbled for the first time by writing this book whereas he's been a pain in the ass for a very long time. As for the comments, well, it's typical stuff. I do wonder though, should (God forbid) Israel be wiped off the map, and nothing changes - the region continues to be immersed in hatred, corruption, stagnation and muslim-on-everybody violence - which Mid East country becomes the fashionable choice to hate and blame for regional and global problems?

3 Carter isn't all bad. As long as he sticks to building houses, and stays out of politics, he does just fine.

4 Dershowitz must have taken up comedy writing, the list of errors, mistakes, and outright lies Carter put in his book is at least as long as the book itself. Face it, Carter loves Islamofascists and is a long time anti semite.
