Did Jimmy Carter Seek Leniency for a Convicted Nazi SS Killer?

LGF has a post up about whether Jimmy Carter sought leniency in 1987 for a Nazi SS prison guard known to have served at the notorious Mauthausen concentration camp. In the image below, I've placed the 1977 memo next to the handwriting on the 1987 letter. Below the images, I've placed similar words from the two docs adjacent to one another for comparison. Same handwriting? You be the judge (click image to enlarge):

1 I really don't feel qualified as a handwriting expert to decide whether the samples were done by the same hand. I did though read the LGF article and see that the source of the letter is from a disbarred attorney who seemed to have lost his license for padding his travel expenses, $130,000  in one year. Also while giving out holocaust   payments spent 30 million in overhead while giving ot only 3 million in payments.

3 Yes, Carter did advocate for a murderer Nazi, according to a letter purportedly from the Nazi's own son and copied in a forum post to me today  by Amazon reviewer (and seemingly a neo-Nazi) Michael Santomauro oddly as if that post  would support Carter as being some nice guy, when it only confirmed that Carter did advocate for special treatment for the Nazi.  Anyway, anyone wanting to see the Nazi's letter and the wacky 5-star spam reviewing and forum posting by all sorts of anti-Jewish folks praising Carter's book can find the forum on the Amazon page for Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid.  Santomauro has reviewed 50 or so Holocaust denial type books and appears to be a Nazi, as do several other of the Carter fans.  These are the type of people Carter's bringing together.

4 I believe peanut head is not thinking right in his old age. Then again, when he was young he let Castro empty his prisons and nervous hospitals and send them to Miami.
