At least six times, maybe more, according to copies of his tax returns provided to Politico “by aides to a rival campaign, who insisted on not being identified.†The obvious (if unpersuasive) spin would be to insist that the money was meant for lobbying, to defend the right of privacy, not for the actual performance of abortions, which of course Rudy deeply, personally opposes. Instead his camp offered [a] non-answer...This is not particularly good for Rudy. You've got to wonder what was going through Rudy's head if he had any aspirations to higher office. The 1990s just weren't that long ago.

The 'Progressivist-Socialists' are targeting Rudy because he has the best chance of winning. He's a well-known centrist New Yorkers came to rely upon to save their city. Rudy is Italian -- of course he's going to be ambivalent about abortion. I don't see the voters of the political center caring about that.
