The House next week will consider the Democrat-crafted Intelligence Authorization bill, which includes a provision directing an assessment of the effects that climate change has on national security.
"Our job is to steal secrets," said Rep. Peter Hoekstra of Michigan, the ranking Republican on the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
"There are all kinds of people analyzing global warming, the Democrats even have a special committee on this," he told The Washington Times. "There's no value added by the intelligence community here; they have no special expertise, and this takes money and resources away from other threats."
That's right. The real threat to our security isn't militant Islamic cockroaches who lie in wait in the woodwork for the perfect inopportune moment to kill thousands of innocents in the most horrible ways imaginable. No - the real threat is GLOBAL WARMING.
The same global warming that killed 3,000 Americans on 9-11. Only now, with Democrats in Congress, it is MORE urgent and deadly than EVUH.
You people in the SUVs? Worse than Zarqawi. Still using regular light bulbs? Prepare for the Democrats to change that, fascists. Carbon footprint too large for Algore's liking? Buy "offset indulgences" or face the hand of justice.
No, my fellow Americans. We're not important enough to protect from terrorism. We're not important enough to warrant the monitoring of terrorist phonecalls, emails and bank records. There is a start-up industry of Democrat lobbyists, environmental whacko groups and phony "carbon credit" companies that need to suckle a little of the government milk to get going, and national security and our spy agencies are going to take the hit.

Seriously. Free oxygen only exists due to the conversion of CO' by the biomass. If we are emitting more co2 than the biomass can convert they why are we not also using more oxygen then the biomass can create?
I got to thinking about his listening to NPR last night. Several guests were touting the economic issues around sequestering carbon. The only thing was that these were people who stand to profit from it. The ordinary person will have to pay through the nose. Take your electric bill and double it.
These technologies are expensive but ignore the problem of the shrinking biomass, deforestation, pollution of water supplies inhibiting the algea that produce most of our oxygen.
By using "carbon sequestering tech" the "environmental bussiness" can ignore it's rape of the natural world and blame it on pesky drivers. They will be unaffected because they have the bucks. If fuel goes to 20 bucks a gallon it's no big deal, If electricity jumps 100 or 200 percent they can pay out of the profits they are earning on the new tech.
The real issue is the carbon oxygen cycle is out of balance. The only cost effective solutions lie in the biotech field. Harnessing life to convert the excess co2 back into useable oxygen.
That being said they are arguing for a stasis in the co2 and oxygen levels that has never existed. Earth is a cyclical system. It is never stable. It is always moving one way or another at all times.
At the end of the dinosaur's era O2 was only at about 9% compared to 23% today. thus geese can fly over everest without suffocating.

Yes, and self inflicted at that one too. I know some here may disagree, but especially as of lately it seems more and more obvios to me that the soul functions and health are intertvined greatly with those of the physical body. C. S. Lewis in "Screwtape letters" wrote that humans are amphibious beeings. With our body we belong to the physical world and with soul - spiritual one. Hence what we do in one, will have an effect on the other. Soul, like body can be damaged through wrong choices, (e.g. in physical realm heavy drinking will ruin you stomach.). The spiritual health of the soul is made or ruined by moral choises and one's relationship with God. Therefore lack of such (vast majority of liberals are atheists) and immoral choices damage the "software" - soul, and causes physical rewiring of the "hardware" - brain. The liberals therefore may truely belief in the "right" of their cause, but that doesn't make their cause any less loony. So yes, it is a mental disorder.
My evidence? Rom 12:1-3. First you do what is right, then you'll understand why it is right. or as in case with liberal, first you do evil and then you justify evil.
