Apparently temperature monitoring stations have changed in a couple of significant ways over the years. Many are now being painted with coatings transparent to solar infrared radiation and are now including a lot of electronics gear including power supplies, charging controllers and batteries inside the little monitoring shelters.
Much of the measured temperature rise might be caused by monitoring stations that are coated improperly, made out of the wrong material (some are now made of painted metal), or including electronics gear as noted above.

Who fuckin' cares anyway? In 5 years we'll probably have a major pole shift and then it all goes to hell in hand basket anyway. I'm thinking of buying beach front property in Alaska cause I figure the poles will shift so much that Alaska will be at the equator again. Buy up that Alaska land now while you can, it'll be a great place for a beach house.
