Christmas in Darfur update:
We're wheels up in just over 19 hours. I have secured data access (but the cost of data transfer is heinous). We should, in theory, have updates posted at the blog, so keep an eye out for those.
Happy Holidays, and see you all on the flipside.
And a big, big thanks to those who chipped in. With your support, we're going in with protective gear, clean water, medical kit, insurance and comms, so, thank you very much.

I find it amusing how you discourage people for doing what they think is right -- are they going to do any more harm? you'll sit by and watch the mass graves get filled passively via CNN, and critique people that only want to do some good. You should be ashamed.

More to the point, are you doing anything about that - like looking at what means ,ight be used to generate sufficient political pressure to enable the use of force? As far as I can tell, the extent of your engagement semms to be limited to carping from the sidelines. If you were to do something productive that might further your solution, I would be quite happy to learn more, but as I see it, you're pretty much content to be a chickendork.
