SEVERAL Britons were feared kidnapped in Baghdad today on another bloody day for Iraq. They were among a group of Westerners snatched when a group of armed Iraqis in uniform arrived at the finance ministry in the Iraqi capital, according to reports.
The Foreign Office in London said officials were “urgently†looking into reports that four British security guards were among seven people taken by the kidnappers.
The BBC reported that a fifth Briton, a computer expert, was also kidnapped in the raid.
Other reports said three computer programmers thought to be German were taken along with their guards.
A Foreign Office spokeswoman could not confirm the reports but said: “We are urgently looking into reports that a group of Westerners has been kidnapped.â€

"This just shows once again what we are even doing there."
I understand what you were trying to say, but it's worth noting that you ineptly managed to say the exact opposite. Yes, it does 'show once again what we are doing there' - trying to destroy the kind of people that indulge in recreational kidnap and murder.
As a side-note; 'guys' needs no apostrophe, and as you ended on a question, you should have used a question mark.
So allow me to rate your post -

Go bleat elsewhere, you insignificant little knob-jockey.

The ifs and buts of waging war on Iraq are now a matter for history. For right or wrong, our troops are in place, and we now have to finish the job we started. Pulling out with the country in its present state would be wrong on so many levels - it would represent a betrayal of the people we promised freedom (and I still believe most of them would quite like that), and it would demonstrate to every tinpot theocracy on the planet that we have no staying power. Do you think Iran will abandon her nuclear policy in the face of such weak resolve?
I supported the invasion of Iraq. In retrospect, I'm not sure it was a good call - but it's too late to close that particular stable door. The horse has bolted. All that remains is to make good of this mess.
Nothing good will come of pulling out prematurely.
