Brit Hostages to Go Hollywood

The Ministry of Defence has given its permission for the British sailors and marines kidnapped and released by the Iranian mullahcracy to cash in on their experience:

Captured sailor Faye Turney and her fellow hostages were accused of 'behaving like reality TV stars' after being given permission to cash in on their ordeal.

The 15 sailors and Marines have been told they can sell their stories to the media by the Ministry of Defence, which bracketed the "exceptional circumstances" surrounding their 13-day ordeal with winners of the Victoria Cross.

Faye Turney is expected to make at least £100,000 ($196,000)

1 I think that this may stimulate an early surrender mentality among the Brits. I have checked online but haven't been able to find a list pf people volunteering to be hostages. But at 15 grand a day (plus Business class travel and no waterboarding) I expect the list to be up shortly.

2 So you and your jihadi masters consider kidnapped British sailors and marines to be the equivalent of captured terrorists? Very revealing "John Ryan."

3 This turns my stomach. I almost wish the Iranians had given these softies a harder time. My family is still waiting for an apology from the Jap govt for what they did in WW2. Money shouldn't come into true honour. Those who sell their stories are a disgrace to the crown.

4 Well Charles just deleted (for the first time) one of my posts over on lgf.  After the most recent round of photos, especially with Carman mugging straight for the camera, and Turney's interviews, I commented that I couldn't wait for the Iranians' next video, where they showed Carman and Turney sharing a double ended dildo.

I guess it's obscene. I think that's rather tame, given how most of the military views these cowards.

5 Wooga: Took me a while. I am now completely in your camp on this issue. I cannot find a reasonable excuse for their behaviour. What did the British Navy do? Draw straws for the most cowardly and place them on the same ship? The rest of you Brits keep up the fight. These sissies do not represent Brits and we know it. Must be tough you the rest of you. Just concentrate on al the brave British military. There's always a few rotten apples in every barrel.

6 Something discomforting about the whole thing.  I've never been captured so I don't feel comfortable passing judgement.   Nevertheless, I hope I would be capable of being difficult and conveying that I was difficult.
