Here's an idea,
There are a number of small Islands dotting the Iranian territory of the Persian Gulf. On each of these one is bound to be able to find a few dozen IRGC (main Mullah prop) personnel with a few militarized speed-boats/gun-boats. So how about S.B.S./S.A.S. take a few prisoners of their own?
Also the IRGC has half a dozen submarines (old Kilo class) prowling the Gulf of Omman and the Persian Gulf. These could be captured by the allies and their personnel exchanged for the Brit sailors/marines.
Another possibility is to take one the larger Iranian islands, say Qeshm or Kiesh; and I mean the island personnel vessels and all and exchange these for the hostages?
Yet another possibility is for the S.B.S./S.A.S. to directly attack the IRGC HQ in Bandar-Abbas and take their high ranking brass prisoners?

I am hoping we will see some decisive action from the British shortly. Otherwise I am wondering if we should start sinking the Royal Navy now to keep it from falling into enemy hands as they did to the French Navy in WWII.
