Iran to Release Female Sailor

UPDATE: (Video) Full Video of Hostage Faye Turney on Iranian TV

UPDATE: Sky News (UK) reports that captured sailors will be paraded on Iranian TV.

UPDATE II:
Allah says the price for Turney's release is a taped confession:

The female British sailor detained by Iran along with 14 others after their illegal entry to Iranian waters in the Persian Gulf has apologized to Tehran for the incursion.

In an interview to be broadcast later on Wednesday on television, Faye Turney, apologized for the violation of the Iranian sovereignty by the British navy service people on Friday.

She said Iranians have treated her and the other soldiers in a humane, moral manner.

Iran's Foreign Minister said today that Faye Turney, the 26-year-old British sailor who was captured along with 14 male colleagues last week, would be freed on Wednesday or Thursday.

"Today or tomorrow, the lady will be released," Manouchehr Mottaki said Wednesday on the sidelines of an Arab summit that he was attending in the Saudi capital.

The British released the GPS coordinates of the vessels seized by Iran, showing that they were well inside Iraqi waters.

Vice Adm. Charles Style said the British vessels were 1.7 nautical miles inside Iraqi waters when Iran seized the sailors and marines on Friday. He gave the satellite coordinates of the British crew as 29 degrees 50.36 minutes north latitude and 048 degrees 43.08 minutes east longitude, and said it had been confirmed by an Indian-flagged merchant ship boarded by the sailors and marines.

Style told reporters that the Iranians had provided a position on Sunday — a location that he said was in Iraqi waters. By Tuesday, Iranian officials had given a revised position 2 miles east, placing the British inside Iranian waters — a claim he said was not verified by global positioning system coordinates.

"It is hard to understand a legitimate reason for this change of coordinates," Style said.

Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett said today that Britain is freezing all ties with Iran until the abducted sailors and Marines are released.

"They should not be under any doubt at all about how seriously we regard this act, which is unjustified and wrong," Mrs Beckett said.

1 This stupid broad soldier is now supposed (as reported) to have apoligized for entering Iranian waters which will be seen on tv, coming within two days to your living room.  Note the humiliation game going on towards Britian.  What a joke, like a cat playing with a mouse.  At what time will Britian's government have had enough, or is this game just to get those 15 soldiers (make that 14, the broad doesn't count...don't you just love the pics with her in civvie clothes clutching her baby?...take that machine gun nest soldier!..and don't forget to die for your country, remember your oath!) back home safely?  And then what will happen?  Britian will take away Iran's tea and biscuts for a year?  If I were Iran, I would take those 14 soldiers and broad to a nuke site for safety, that is, if Blair's government finds a set of balls and actually goes after them.  It is time to construct a bomb shelter in my back yard.  Maybe I could marry that British soldier broad with kid after she comes home a "hero" for her feminine sensitivities!

2 Why doesn't Blair send over our Attorney General, Senior Alberto Gonzales to plead with the Iranians for the release of those valiant soldiers...(just like men--never ask for directions, get lost on Iranian soil...err water this time)?  He could take with him Jimmy Carter, as a swap for the 14 plus 1 till a deal is made.  OK, throw in three videos of Britney, Christina, and the dixie chicks (note the lower case).  Not enough to gain their release...how about the entire collection of "Girls gone Wild."  Even the underground mega hit liimited edition..."Muslims Go Wild for Sheep!"   We must use everything but our fists, right?  Right!  Fatwa to you baby!

6 Whatever happened to name, rank and serial number?
Or is that just for US military?

7 Apparently the British troops are a bunch of poofters.  This female 'soldier' should be ashamed of her cowardice.  As sandspur said, it's name, rank and number... no 'confessions' to save your own hide at the cost of selling out your fellow POWs and country.

8 You either say what you are told or die! Leave her alone.

9 Funny, vets like McCain suffered years of torture because they honored their oath.  This cunt is a disgrace to uniformed forces everywhere.  If you aren't willing to sacrifice your life for your country, why would you sign up for the military?

I'm not willing to sacrifice my life yet, so I am not going to put myself in a position where I would be a weak link, jeopardizing the lives of my fellow men. She should have stayed out of service.

10 RJ perhaps if you would not have a knee jerk reaction to this female sailor you might have learned already that she probably was coerced and did these things under duress.

11 Women have no place in front line combat. There are some things tht only men should do unless there is no other to pick up arms. And this is exactly the reason why.   But we could have a standing army of menstrating women that the islammy dogs would be terrified of because when they lost, it would be to women and if they won, so what? You beat a girl......

12 The woman is weak. That should be the end of it until they get her back home and send her to the FRIGGIN BRIG.
