Attempted Honor Killing in PA

Some Pennsylvania muslims from Buck's County attempted to bring the dark ages to Middletown by kidnapping their daughter's fiancé and threatening to kill him in the name of "family honor:"

Webber (police officer -ed.) said the alleged victim told him his fiancée’s family was upset the two had moved in together. He said there were cultural differences and that’s why 48-year-old Mohd Nasher and his son 20-year-old Mohammed Nasher were allegedly gunning for the fiancé.

“The father and son came in, grabbed our victim, pulled him outside, began choking and beating him. Drug him into the back of a Ford Explorer and that’s where they advised him that they were going to take him somewhere. He jumped out the other side window in fear for his life and as he went to run away the father told him, ‘I’m going to find you and I’m going to shoot you.’ The son went and grabbed a bat and went to chase after him,” Webber said.

Both Nashers were charged with assault and kidnapping. They both posted $20,000 cash bail and were released. ...

This happened with an hour's drive from where I live. What fun.

Their religion had nothing to do with this, though. Nothing at all.

2 I was brought up in Middletown in the 70's when it was still a USSteel town (township actually).  I remember  a strange incident with a Korean immigrant who had tortured his family to death and then commited suicide.  I cant remember the year I think it was maybe 1977.  A few years later we moved into the house across the street.  We also had that big trucker rally when all the gas rationing and Ayatollah Assahola stuff was going down. Man how things have changed.   oooops I meant stay the same.

I also grew up in PA--near Williamsport, and we always thought the Amish and Mennonites were freaky.  They got nuttin’ on these nuts.

Those were the days my friends.

4 JUST REMEMBER, NOSTALGIA'S NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE...
As for these men who are the accused, I am stunned by the bail amounts!  These men are obviously a flight risk.  Having them out on bail is of course an endangerment to the injured parties.  Also, not brought up in court, but obvious on common-sense grounds is the serious risk of vigilantism in a case like this.  I am a bit surprised that these two did not beg to be imprisoned, to save their own lives.

5 $20,000 bail. What a friggin joke. If a white Christian has done that to a muslim the bail would have been $200.000. Plus federal hate crimes and violation of civil liberties crimes.  But don't wish to upset any moderate muslims, do we?

6 This whole "honor" thing makes me laugh. Muslims have no honor.

8 Actually "honor killing" usually refers to the killing of the DAUGHTER not the fiancee. And I am sure that in NO other religions has a father ever acted in such a way before. Certainly no commentator here would ever act that way if his daughter was living with a man with whom he had "cultural differences" lol
