Annual LA Hippy Roundup and Jamboree
Wearing special breathing apparatus to ward off the vile stench (note the trash and droppings on the ground) officers of the LAPD herd native wild hippies into MacArthur Park for the traditional jamboree (video below the fold).
Activities include the ritual hosedown and delousing followed by the hippy toss and hog-tying. The "Ride the Wild Hippy" event was not held this year, due to concerns about communicable disease after several participants had to be treated for Hepatitus C and various STDs following last year's jamboree.
