Quote Document Dan:
"Somebody, sometime has got to take a stand and say democracy cannot survive, much less thrive with the level of big corporate and big government interference and intimidation in news," he said on CNN's "Larry King Live."Remember when the Democrats and the former Clinton Administration threatened ABC's broadcasting license last year if they had the audacity to air something that was less than fawning idol-worship of the Clinton Administration and their "super-tough, kill-em-all" approach to fighting Islamic terrorism?
This disgraced propagandist doesn't know how right he is.
And Dan? Mary? It wasn't a big corporation that brought you down. It was your own gullibility, stupidity, bias and blind support for the Democrat Party, aided by some intrepid bloggers. No corporate influence whatsoever.
Cheers!

If there's a better pictorial representation of how the war on Islamic terrorism is being fought, I have yet to see it.

The video shows the five hostages in front of the banner of the Islamic State of Iraq warning others not to join the Iraqi security forces. Later the five officers are shown on the streets where they are blindfolded, forced to kneel, and shot in the back of the head with a pistol by a mujahideen yelling "Allahu akhbar"--God is great. A second masked person is shown videotaping a second angle of the murders.
Al Qaeda posted the video in an effort to "prove" that the U.S. is losing in Iraq. Because nothing says we're winning like the murder of POWs.
I wonder if we'll see major coverage in the MSM about yet another Geneva Convention violation? Not only are they murdering captives, but they are celebrating those murders.
Yup, the US is just as bad as the enemies they fight. It's all the same. Keep telling yourself that.
Rest assured that if this was a video of Americans executing prisoners, it would be all over the news.
The Reuters headline calls the murders of the five men 'executions'..... via Breitbart:
An Iraqi al Qaeda-led group, the Islamic State in Iraq, has shot dead five abducted Iraqi army officers and posted a video of the execution-style killings on the Internet on Saturday. The footage, posted on a Web site used by insurgents in Iraq, showed a masked gunman shooting the blindfolded officers in the head with a pistol at what seemed to be a secluded area.

Beginning on October 22, student groups across the nation will hold Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week on their campuses. These protest weeks will feature a series of events designed to bring a message to these academic communities that challenges most of what students are taught about the so-called War on Terror both in the classroom and on the quad.Get the full scoop here.

Former Tennessee senator Fred Thompson won by far the warmest reception from the crowd, challenging the notion that stricter gun laws would reduce crime -- the centerpiece of Giuliani's defense of his past gun-control stance.Teh Rudy? Not so much:"I've never subscribed to the notion that we made our country safer by infringing on the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens," Thompson said.
In his speech, Giuliani argued that his zealous pursuit of gun laws was merely an attempt to cut out-of-control crime in New York, hoping to appeal to the law-and-order sensibilities of the NRA members. But the skeptical response from the heavily pro-Thompson crowd shows that another piece of the Republican base, along with anti-abortion activists and anti-immigration voters, may be out of reach for Giuliani as he tries to stitch together a path to the nomination.(I'm sure it didn't help that Rudy took a freakin' phone call in the middle of his speech.)
In any event, the chickens, as they say, are coming home to roost.
And they're assault chickens.

Jesse Adam Macbeth, told lies that may have caused the deaths of many Americans serving in overseas.
Via The Blotter: A Washington man, whose claims to have slaughtered civilians as a U.S. Army Ranger in Iraq were seen by millions on YouTube, admitted in federal court in Seattle today that he was a fake and a liar. Not only that but, he became a propaganda tool for the Enemy.Jesse Adam Macbeth, 23, pleaded guilty to charges he faked his war record.
"He was in the Army for 40 days before he was kicked out of boot camp for being unfit," said U.S. Attorney Jeffrey C. Sullivan. "He was never in Iraq."
Macbeth's story of killing men and women as they left a Baghdad mosque included claims that he was a U.S. Army Ranger and had received the Purple Heart for injuries suffered in combat in Iraq. But he now says he's, "Sorry!"His interview was translated into Arabic and distributed in the Middle East, said the U.S. attorney.
"Macbeth's lies fueled hostility to our servicemen in Iraq and here at home," Sullivan said.
The judge must believe this POS now, because he only gave him five months in prison.
Macbeth, the phony U.S. soldier who claimed to have committed atrocities, was sentenced to five months in jail.

No, I wasn't searching for "Alicia Silverstone nude video", I was trying to see if my local cable company was playing the USC vs. Washington State game tomorrow and this just happened to be the top story at TV Guide.
And if you believe that, here's another one: Islam = peace**
I know a naked Alicia Silverstone urging you to go Vegan is some heavy propaganda, but please, don't go Vegan. You're a carnivore damnit!
Video & pics below: NSFW. Not Rated R, but probably Rated PG-13 for partial nudity--namely the hiney. But you probably shouldn't view it anyway. more...

"And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly."(Answer below the fold) more...

I guess that's what's supposed to be so cool about Islam the murders are like, so religious?.
UPDATE by Rusty: Worst. Jihad. Video. Ever.
They claim to have made the video in "Fort Mujahidin", ie Ramadi. Since Ramadi is now the safest place in Iraq, I think it's not an exaggeration to say these guys are full of shit.
It's really a long splicing together of old footage. And not done very well at that. What Ansar al Sunna needs is an American traitor to help them out on the technical side. Maybe as Sahab will loan out Adam Gadahn? more...

• A daily dose of Islamic jurisprudence from an Egyptian sheik, Amr Khaled, who comes direct from Cairo as TAC's prime advocate of "peaceful jihad," on how the duty of every Arab-American is to become first, second, and only a member of the Muslim Ummah. From the description the station doesn't sound like it's extremist at all. But that's just the point, isn't it? Even 'moderate' Arab stations portray the U.S. as the 'bad guy' and even 'moderate' Islamists are devoted to the implementation of sharia law.• A nightly helping of Syria's CNN-style digest of the world, sent fresh from a Damascus studio where the Iraq war is nothing but an American butchery of Arabs, and the Zionist regime in Jerusalem is just biding its time until it gets what it deserves.

Now, I happen to know that there is more than one person running as Sahab, but I'd guess that fewer than a handful are significant in the actual production of the videos.

The scheme was run from Washington, D.C. by Saifulla Ranjha's Hamza, Inc., but it had links around the country and the globe. Ranjha's right-hand man is said to be a Canadian, Mazhar Chughtai, who arranged the bank transfers.
The only other name I could find is that of a Pakistani, Aqeel Khalid, who was arrested in Seattle yesterday for trying to bribe an immigration officer so that the al Qaeda money-launderers could obtain legal permanent residency--a green card.
UPDATE: Allahakhchew notices two more names: Anar Muhammad Shan and Preces Mehmood Sandhu, both arrested in Spain yesterday. more...

Abo Jnieh's hacking tracks are all over the internet. His victims seem to be concentrated on Hindu related websites, but he also targets other Arabs. Some of the messages he leaves seem to suggest he's hacking randomly, warning webmasters to close their security loopholes--but others warn his victims to repent.
I also notice that his old signature flag indicates he's Saudi. Possibly more later.....

Websites run by militant Islamists have listed the names of over 100 Swedish companies as possible targets in the ongoing row surrounding the publication in Swedish newspapers of a caricature of the Muslim prophet Muhammad. The cartoon is a caricature of Muhammad as a "roundabout dog" and it was drawn to test the limits of art, says cartoonist Vilks.Detailing the addresses, maps and logos of Swedish businesses, the websites called for their readers to boycott these firms and "take revenge" on Sweden for the publication of a controversial cartoon by artist Las Vilks.
A few days earlier, a bounty was offered for the death of Vilks.
An al-Qaeda front organization in Iraq, the self-proclaimed Islamic State in Iraq, issued a statement on the Internet on Saturday offering $150,000 to anyone who slit the throat of Lars Vilks, whose sketch depicted Muhammad as a dog.Additionally, the Swedish government has received formal complaints from Iran, Egypt and Pakistan. Naturally, the situation is being taken seriously by the government and Vilks is in hiding under police protection. It also offered $50,000 for the death of the editor-in-chief of the Nerikes Allehanda newspaper, Ulf Johansson, who published the caricature.

Take in Rachmaninov's Second Piano Concerto, Movement II, with your morning news reading or coffee.
This is from a 1929 recording of Rachmaninov himself on piano playing with the Philadelphia Orchestra. Cracks and pops, warmth and all. Shimmering, soaring late-Romantic beauty for a turbulent world. Enjoy.

This is rich:
Rudolph W. Giuliani will go before the rank and file of the National Rifle Association on Friday, seeking support for his Republican presidential campaign from a group he once likened to "extremists" for its efforts to repeal the ban on assault weapons.Sorry, Rudy, but this is one gun owner who's never gonna forget what you're all about and what you truly believe about my right to defend myself and those I love. And as we move forward through these next few months, I'll be reminding everyone I know. And I'm not alone. But even as the former New York mayor strives to burnish his Second Amendment credentials at the gathering in Washington, a panel of federal judges in his home town will be hearing arguments on the lawsuit that Giuliani filed seven years ago aimed at punishing the nation's gun manufacturers for violent crimes involving firearms.
Announcing the lawsuit in 2000, then-Mayor Giuliani wrote in his weekly column about issues facing the city that "this is an industry which profits from the suffering of innocent people. The lawsuit is intended to end the free pass that the gun industry has enjoyed for a very long time, which has resulted in too many avoidable deaths."
He called the lawsuit "an aggressive step towards restoring accountability to an industry that profits from the suffering of others." The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit will decide whether the lawsuit -- against Colt, Glock, Smith & Wesson and others -- can move forward despite federal legislation that attempted to grant immunity to the companies.

Prompted by the following action alert from GDG contributor Kenneth Timmerman, I discovered that Iranian president Ahmadinejad still plans to visit 'ground zero', despite the NYPD's refusal to allow it for "security reasons".
In response to this outrage, many have begun organizing to repel or protest this incursion into one of America's most hallowed memorials. Please read the following action alert, and participate if you are able:
Dear Friends of Freedom,
The Foundation for Democracy in Iran, in coordination with Citizens United and other groups, is calling on all Americans, regardless of their origin or political beliefs, to come to New York on Monday to defend Ground Zero from desecration by the terrorist president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
We will be chartering buses from the Washington, DC area. Please watch our website, www.iran.org, for more details and for rendezvous points.
Stay tuned!
Best regards,
Kenneth R. Timmerman
