7/7 London Bombing Conspirators Charged

It's official, three men from Leeds have been formally charged as co-conspirators in the 7/7 London bombings which killed 52. The three are the first to be charged in that attrocity.

USA Today:

Britain charged three men Thursday with allegedly helping the four suicide bombers in the July 7, 2005, attacks on London's transit system that killed 52 passengers.....

The three — Mohammed Shakil, 30, Shipon Ullah, 23, and Sadeer Saleem, 26 — were charged with conspiracy to cause explosions on transport or at tourist attractions that could endanger life or cause serious harm.

Susan Hemming, head of the Counter Terrorism Division of the Crown Prosecution Service, said that the three men are accused of being "involved in the reconnaissance and planning for a plot with those ultimately responsible for the bombings."

The police also have said to expect more arrests.
