3 Christians, No Muslims, to be Executed in Indonesia

As I said before: If these guys are guilty of involvement in a massacre that killed over 200--mostly women and children, let me volunteer my services for the firing squad. However, the Indonesian court system is based on Islamic law and, as we have noted here on several occasions, is a complete sham. Not a single Muslim has been brought to justice for the killing of Christians during the same period--even though far more Christians were killed in the sectarian violence than Muslims. Not. A. Single. One.

The unbiased Reuters which, in the interest of fairness, lets the readers know that 3 Muslims are also about to be executed. Of course, these are the Bali bombers--completely unrelated to the ongoing clashes between Muslims and the Christian and Hindu minorities.

Three Indonesian Christians on death row for leading a mob that killed Muslims during inter-religious violence in Central Sulawesi province are to be executed on Saturday, the Attorney General's office said.
Fabianus Tibo, Marianus Riwu and Dominggus Silva will face a firing squad just after midnight on Friday at a secret location in the Central Sulawesi provincial capital of Palu, a spokesman for the Attorney General said.

1 Thank you for posting this, and for the hat-tip. I saw this and strongly suspected any Muslims involved in the same events wouldn't be treated the same, then I saw your earlier thread, which confirmed it. The thing is, these on and off again events are treated like the Israeli-Arab conflict(s) - a cycle of violence, where both sides are comparable in culpability and cruelty.

I have read enough articles to know to distrust Islamic "justice." Even in supposedly moderate & secular Muslim countries, Islam colors law. I agree with the earlier Jawa thread: If they did this, I have no sympathy for them. They are monsters. If they didn't, then a great evil is about to be done.

4 Know the feeling. Over 250 murders in New Orleans in the last year. Not one conviction. Muslims are protecting other muslims who commit murder. Who is protecting the murderers in New Orleans?

Fishy. Why "at a secret location"? My guess is that it's either a dodge to misdirect the masses' attention, or a blind to appear all-powerful while accomplishing nothing (and no beheadings occur), or perhaps merely a sign of fear over potential revolts.

Whichever way, one can hope that the slipping grip of the courts won't remain veiled forever.

6 Wrong. More Muslims than Christians died in the sectarian clashes in Poso. In fact the three Christian militants were found guilty of a massacre of more than 200 muslim students and teachers at an Islamic boarding in Poso. It was a senseless attack on unarmed civlians.

8 And all the Muslims involved were granted amnesty, but not for the Christians. It is a massive cover-up by the Indonesian government and local Central Sulawesi government to protect only Muslims because so many Muslim politicians, police and army were involved in helping continuing the fighting ( started by fundamentalist Muslims)and arming these Muslims. There was no Islamic law involved in the trial, just the usual corruption that comes part and parcel when Muslim politicians or the police and TNI (army) are involved.

Both sides were wrong to kill each other and if an amnesty is granted then it should be for both sides. In two hours, three victims of the conflict will be wrongfully executed.

Hey Toni, what about the 200 or more men, women and children massacred while worshipping in Halmahera Church in Duma? Or the over 10,000 Christians murdered by Muslims in Indonesia since 1998? Or the innocent tourists in Bali?

Bali and North Sulawesi are fed up with being part of Indonesia and under Muslim rule. We're due for another bombing soon too. If we ( Christian North Sulawesi)could, we'd become part of Australia or America. We're Pro-West and Pro-Israel and proud of it. One billion Muslims are wrong, God has a son and His name is Jesus Christ. Long live America and Israel!!

9 Right on! Jesus had a mother, too. Her name is Mother Mary. As it is written Israel will prevail against all foes. I am finally beginning to enjoy life again! Israel will prevail as God's chosen people assisted by America as the bulldogs, God's next favorites after Israel. Actually I think it's a toss-up who God favors the most! : ) God is obligated to favor his originally chosen people, but most likely without some reservation since they were responsible for killing God's only begotten Son. Such is the forgiving nature of our Lord!
